? about CF trunk

Guys that have put on CF trunks on there cars, did you leave the gas supports on that help lift the trunk up when open?
I didn't know if it would be too much pressure on it when closed since they are strong enough for the OEM trunk and the CF is much lighter.
Also how can you adjust the rear closes to the window back down some it sticks up above the car a little bit. And i have already turned the screw all the way down thats on the hinge part.

Thanks,

i kept the gas shockls on its fine..... here is a trick to ghet rid of your trunk still looking open when u shut it.... i messed with the hinges for hours, even elongated the hing holes and brought the hinger down further..... but here is the best thing to do.... the little latch in the deck lid with the 2 screws in it..... put the screw through the deck lid then add some shims(washers) then screw into the latch.... this brings the latch further up into the trunk pulling the trunk down further when u shut it... i have about 3 washers on each screw

Thanks for your help i will put my gas shocks back on.
I didn't completely understand about pulling the lid down..
The latch i have has 3 screws in it and attached to the lock so it doesn't move too much. You put the shims on the inside where the latch mounts to the lid correct. And then put the screws in and tighten down. I think i understand correctly. I had a hard time with the lock clip in think i have it on enough.

Heres pic of it on.

Still has the lights? Thought they all had the lights in them. Of course you have to put them in. I bought it from Pet on here he had the trunk and hood.
Hopefully the hood will be here soon and i will have it on soon.

Thanks bas2k4, That brings up a question i have had. The center wing insert i have heard of some cracking and so on. How often has this happen? I don't want to buy one and down the road it cracks and has to put the OEM back on.

And far as aligning the trunk i have found that you can move the hinge as a whole up, down, front to back, also of course the part of the hinge that the trunk connects to. The piece that the latch connects to also can be fine adjusted for lining up the gaps on either left to right.
