? About Tinting tail Lights

I know most of you guys haved used VHT for yout tails and some people use the transparent paint found in local hobby stores (paintthat is used for model cars and whatever) Does anyone know the quality of the transparent paint or any pics of it done? Everytime i ordered VHT off vendors+ Ebay in the past i recieved half empty cans. Secondly does anyone know how that paint holds up against weather? Weat and AZ HEAT?

I have tinted tail lights with just black paint and they held up fine. I tinted ours with what is like window tint. Its been on the 5 months with no problems.

I wouldn't suggest tinting with plain black paint. Makes it even harder for others to see you at night and if you get hit at that point it will be your fault.

they are a little hard to see. I would suggest if you are gonna paint them to it with the correct paint. Sorry wasnt saying using regular paint.

Original Poster - FYI, you NEVER got a 1/2 empty can. VHT Nite Shades used to have 7 oz of fluid in a 12 oz can. VHT did this only because all of their other products were in 12 oz cans, and it was cheaper to use the same size.

Now they started including 10 oz of fluid in the can, but it's still the same 12 oz can size as before.

Pre cut vinyl pieces are garbage.. Never get them, even for the headlights, and side makers.. You will have better luck putting mud on your lights
