That is nice too.

I just hate the gaudy huge hoods.

Simple and clean vents.
If I had time I would modify myself functional vents into my OEM hood.

Same here almost all of the aftermarket hoods are just awful looking and/or nonfunctional.

I want a single wider inset scoop right over the blower, with the vent cut in similar angles to the other bends in the hood... If that makes sense. Lol

They make them fit SO perfect for the model cars lol.

I kind of wish it did not have such a steep rise, just the vents.

4 inch? that might be a little excessive, space issues?

I ran a 3 inch in my Camaro. Sunoco.

I have a tall intake manifold and a carb spacer. I got this hood so i could run a bigger air cleaner instead of my stupid washable sponge one.

It looks stock. It's a honey comb core carbon hood made during the time attack cobalt days. Weighs like 6lbs.

That is a great hood!

Those renderings that DS did look great too...

I don't understand why someone doesn't make a (?)'00-'02 Camaro SS hood (the Z28 actually only had a flat hood) that works with (oh let's say) a K&N SRI - made to seal against the hood, and make the scoop functional.

^^ that's the hood I want!
exactly, why is it referred to as the z28 hood, if it had a flat hood just like the v6?
the SS was from 98-02 actually.

I'm pretty sure only the ss camaros had that hood stock.

Anyways yes I would chop up the hood. I have to anyways to put pins across the front. The vents would be Suttle and more functional and aerodynamic then anything on the market right now

Several companies sold these including modern performance and body armor. I actually have an email in to octane motor sports because they show a vis invader 2 carbon hood that looks just like that one for a G5 Pontiac. Trying to figure out if it's still made. Always loved the 97-2001 SS camaro hood.

/\ /\ let the group know what you figure out.

Back to the '98-'02 Camaro SS style hood - truth be told, there are probably many of us who would like this hood (or a variation/improvement on it)...
... if that hood is indeed referred to as a "Z28 hood", it might be because that style hood was first used by Chevrolet on the 1978/1979 Z28 - and just like the Cobalt version, it was non functional (it was actually a fibreglass bolt-on onto the standard hood.
