aftermarket LED strips to flash with turnsignals?

I have the LS bumper without fogs and it has fins cut into the bumper (4) total i am going to put WHITE LED strips in the top 2 fins and AMBER LED strips into the bottom 2 fins. I want the white strips to be on with the DRLs or headlights.. which i know how to do. My question is how would i wire up the bottom (amber) LED strips to flash only with the turn signals.. I only want the amber LEDS on when the blinker is on, not on all the time.

Any Ideas????

Trace the wires that go to the plug where the running/ turn signal bulbs go in you headlights. Use a volt meter and trace out the wires turn on your blinker and it shouldn't be hard to figure out which is for the blinker filament. Someone may be able to tell you exactly the color. if you take out the bulb and test the socket that should make things easier. Then just slice into it.

On the headlight harness, the one on the back of the headlight, the plug has 5 wires. 2 of them go to main turn signal bulb, then to the little side marker light. This is parking light power and ground. The 3rd wire going to turn signal is for blinker. I believe it is light blue.

Just tap the appropriate wire for each LED strip.

Hmm IDK if its possible anymore, i could be way wrong,, but i believe the BCM controls the flasher function, which is also the DRL in 05-06. not sure if you will find a T/S wire in the harness. like i said i could be way off. but you may want to check.

2006

2008

doesnt look like much of a difference at all. but it all goes through the BCM, looks like you would have to find the Dk Green/White wire (right) and Yellow/Black wire (left) before the turn signal/ malfunction switch.

On the 05 and 06 models the DRL is the same as the blinker, not sure how the 07+ are. But just tap whatever wire corresponds to the stock lights you want the LEDs to match.
