Aftermarket on my Cobalt SS needs some fog lights.
Aftermarket on my Cobalt SS needs some fog lights.
Hi there!
I traded my WRX for a lump of cash and a Cobalt SS as I wanted to get rid of monthly payments.
Previous owner cracked the OEM bumper and changed it for an aftermarket one. It is not very great looking IMO, but my biggest issue are the vents on it without any grill and the fog lights socket are empty, which looks awful.
I am willing to do a little bit of work to make something fit in there, but I know very little about Cobalt.
Did it came with fog light? Or maybe it was an option? Im mainly wondering if there is already the wiring to accommodate them? And if there is, should I be looking for a specific type of light/connector?
I know that getting them to fit on the aftermarket bumper will require some custom work, I'll work around that.
Car is a 2007 Cobalt SS, bought in Canada Quebec.

I'll also be looking to find some sort of black grill/mesh to fill the empty areas and maybe change the gray on on the central grill. Not sure where to look for that either.
Trying to come up with a cost effective way to make it look a less tacky... But if all fails, I'll be patient and look around for an OEM replacement.
Thanks y'all.

If you're going to do all the work you might as well just revert to the factory bumper. It did come with factory fog lights.
