I work at a dealership and we had a company come in and do one last week on a new car, the flip up style and it looks horrible. When they do the power style, it looks ok. When they put the sunroof in they have to cut out the braces in the roof, the power sunroof has a support frame to replace this, the flip up does not. So the roof looks all wavy and shitty with the flip up. If your gonna do it, go power!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really don't know, they have a company come in and do it, but i'd say the prices are comparable to the ones you stated.
There is more to this story though, the company that installed the one last week had a cutting bit break or something and damaged the roof of the car, they had to take it and have it fixed, after it came back, there were marks in the paint, so the detailer tried to buff it out (dumb cause the paint was still soft) Ended up doing more damage to the paint, so it's back to the body shop. All this **** for a sunroof, and even worse, it's a flip up and looks like crap. Good luck.......

I heard that in the long run it's better to basically swap roofs with a matching car that already has a sunroof from a wrecker or whatever...

Could you get a quote for a moonroof for me?

As for power or flip, ask em if you can see some of their work first
