against the law!!!!

It is against the law in Maryland to drive without front tags. I was planning on getting European tags. I was wondering has anyone done this before? European tags in the front are a bit thinner, so it might not get in the way of the intercooler.

Also, is it legal to have front European tags ?

No it is not illegal to have the euro tag on the front of the car but the problem is the have to have the MD tag there too. You could always get teh hideaway tag thing and if you ever get pulled oer hit the button and surprise there is your front tag

I couldnt tell you about MD but I just spoke to a deputy sherriff today about this as far as ohio goes. He told me it "has to be on the front bumper by law" not under the car, not back inside where the intercooler is, not on the dash. Nothing but on the front bumper.

Then, he asked me "Why, did you get pulled over for it?", I said no, I was just curious is all. He said hes been a deputy sherriff for 26 years and has NEVER pulled anyone over and ticketed them for not having a front liscense plate in ohio. He told me if an ohio cop pulls you over specifically for not having a front plate then the cop is bored and has nothing better to do. I thought this was hillarious

You should get an Ohio plate. That's where your car came from

He's a good cop. Good cops hate bad cops just as much as we do!

I can see doing it for looks, but blocking the intercooler? Does the front plate really block the intercooler? Enough to make a measurable difference?
