For all the Nite Shaders

I just ordered some cans of nite shades from modernperformance and was wondering how everyone went about doing the spray job. Wasnt sure if I should sand between coat and if so what grit to use. Also should I use a clear coat after i have achieved the darkness I want? Any tips are apprieciated. Thanks

Use a high grit sandpaper like 200 or more. Clearcoating is also a must. It gives it that nice shine.

dont you mean 2000? 200 would eat the **** outta your lights. get the 3m 2000 grit and a bucket of water. keep the sandpaper and light wet as you sand. thats the best way to do it and it comes out looking right. you want proof just look at my domain page........shameless plug

ok im not the best painter so at the last coat it sounds like i should wet sand it with 2000. My question is do i need to use any sort of rubbing compound afterwards before i put the clear coat on and im guessing i should do multiple coats of clear and possibly wet sand it after the last coat. Please let me know cuz i would like to get started and possibly finish this project today.Thank You

no rubbing compound is needed. just go with very light coats until you get the shade you want. heavy coats can and will run and are a pain to try and remove.
