another dumb tinted headlight question

id really like to tint my headlights as I alreayd have done the tails and it looks great, my question is, can i use VHT for it? its to my understanding that VHT is a veryyyyy dark red and im guessing my headlights would look real weird with a red tint to them...I have 10k hid's in stock reflectors so there very bright (dont blind people tho!)

do you think I would have a visibility problem if i tinted them out? my windshield is getting tinted 35% next weekend so keep that in mind

VHT isnt red, I spray some on a spare stocker last week when i did my tails and it actually gave it a blue hue, probably from the chrome housing reflecting light. But tinting you headlights whether you have HIDs or not is gonna cut the light output. sure you can say you tailllights are still plenty bright, but a taillight isnt designed to throw light out its designed to be a big bright spot to see.

If you take your headlights apart and spray the inside housing NOT the lens black it darkens them up BIGTIME! To the point they look tinted when off.

Speaks the truth! Do like I said and it'll give it the effect of tinting them without cutting down your light.

1-tint them and have crappy visibility
2-buy those headlight covers and take them off whenever you need to lol
or 3- do as jackalope says and be happy.
honestly, it does get annoying when you first tint them but then you get used to the light output. I'm definitely going back to stockers once it starts snowing.
