antenna chop

How do you antenna chop or get the smaller antenna, or where do you buy one? I've seen many SS's wit the lowered antenna.

Cut it to whatever length you want and stick a vacuum cap on the end. I found one at a local hobby shop. Thats the free way to do it anyway...

I cut the ball on the tip of it off then cut the antenna to the length I wanted and just epoxied the ball back on. Also, I mixed a little black paint in when I mixed up the epoxy so it color matched!!

Are you asking me? It comes with a rubber dick antenna about 2ft long and you can cut it anywhere cause its just for looks It literally has nothing in it and you get all the reception from that metal piece in the pic. It comes with a few adapters to fit a bunch of cars.

I originally had cut mine down via the how to that was just posted and my reception was way worse than stock. Just got an ebay CF nub for 13.00 shipped the other day, the reception is back to as good as stock now, and it looks way better.

Wrap the pliers with a rag first to protect the paint.

If it still spins, try the search button. There are a ton of threads that say how to deal with it then.

Don't waste your money on buying an actually shorty, just cut your stock one down to your desired height then add a vacuum cap to the end of it, they only cost $1.50 vs $20 for a shorty
