Antenna Delete on Cobalt?

Did anyone delete the antenna? Did you temporally plug the hole or have it welded/painted? Pics? Suggestions?
My seal around the hole is leaking water in my trunk and I hate the damn thing.
Thanks guys

If i deleted it, i would suggest getting it plugged, then welded with enough money.

But i say just remove the antenna and put a vacuum cap on it

Exactly what I did, remove antenna get vacuum cap and cut it to the exact height of the threads and put it on. Looks clean (as clean as itll get with out body work anyways) and if need be one day I can put it on.

Did the same thing. Looks good and I don't really notice any difference in quality in the radio.

It's the company that makes the antenna.

i was thinking the same thing getting it shaved cuz mine broke when tryed to take the antenna off for shipping. it twisted off the bracket inside the trunk so i pushed the whole thing in the trunk to get two wrenches on it. the antenna was rusted on so bad it broke the bolt that it screws to. so i just filed it down put some black paint on it zip tied it back on the bracket and put it back in so water cant get in.

It should be integrated with the other antenna that's on the roof, IMO. I wouldn't mind that one being an inch longer if that's what was required to add radio reception. That is of course too much to ask of GM.

I just found a rubber "nub" in the garage, and it fit on the threads nicely. But it won't solve you're leaking problem...
