Any tips on light scratches?

Some dumb-A$! in a pickup truck did not have his payload tied down (of course) and decided to go on the freeway (idiot).

I was stuck behind the guy trying to get over, but it was too late, a flat board that was 1 inch thick took off like a bird out of his truck and deflected off my A-pillar and driver's side mirror.

The results:

The clear coat is evenly scratched down the entire A-pillar along with a couple paint chips.

The side mirror has some lines etched in it.

I know a credit card over the plastic will get the scratches off the mirror, but the scratches on the A-pillar, what can I use to buff the scratches without taking off the clear coat or paint???

Does these cars even have a clearcoat?

The scratches look like aggressive rubs from abrasives and all the lines are going in one direction (sucks).

Any help is appreciated.
