Anyone take off the factory lip kit yet?

Anyone take off the factory lip kit yet?

Posting on my ENv from work cause im bored and need to know. I am taking off all of my lip kit. Front lip, rear lip and sideskirts. What are they held on by? Thanks

i dont know about the rear and sides, but the front is held on by clips and a couple of screws.

if your takin it off and have no plans to replace it then your goin to have a bunch of slots goin across the front and rear bumper.. im not sure bout the sides though..

hmm.. are you painting them? I would like to either paint mine.. actually I want a oem carbon fiber lip kit but I dont see that happening.

the side skirts are held on with a bunch of clips. and screws get on ur back crawl up under u'll see what i mean, once those are off pull, it'll just pop off. the front and rear lip is a bunch of clips and a few screws. quite easy, once u start, u'll see em all.

yeah I've wanted to do that for a long time. you should actually try find a guy with a black cobalt that put a body kit on his car then you could just use the oem parts.

the wing "insert" is held in with 4 screws, 2 on each side, remove the caps on the side, (2 way tape, careful not to damage them) than just remove the 2 screws on each side, it'll pop right off.

wait are you painting the body kit black? if you are ***gag***. like some of the monte carlos have silver lip kits. gross. it will look like you bought the kit off someone with a black car and bothered not to paint it. or just traded parts. i wouldnt do it. but thats just me
