When i went onto Gmcrateenginedepot.com to order my armrest, i noticed that it said automatic only under the description. What is this all about. I imagine it is to make sure we can pull our weak ass ebrake all the way up to hold the car,, I always leave mine in gear when im parked, but just wanted to see if there was any "real" Problem with the fitment of the armrest... thanks guys

 

My armrest goes all the way up so there is room to pull the ebrake completely up. I leave mine in gear as well when I park depending on the slope and which way I am facing.

 

Mine is fine. it gets in the way a bit when pulling up the e brake. if on a STEAP slope i have to put it up and finish pulling the e-brake. other then that, I don't think it is in the way at all. I do however put it up when planning on lets say track or Spirited driving. just in case.

 

My ebrake holds fine guys, i dunno if its an ss issue but it is great, the other day i was on some packed hard snow so i just pulled on the break to lock the back wheels and did some drifting, it was great.

 

I tried pulling my ebrake in a snow parking lot out of curiousity, and my back wheels do not lock up at the least. My car just starts beeping and saying brake up or something. I have the 2.4 SS. I can see why they would add the safety feature, but how come it seems to work for you 2.0 guys.
