Arm Rest in a T/C question

I've picked up a arm rest, but I noticed it rubs on the edge of the seats a little bit, what do u guys do to prevent that? im just worried about wearing a hole into the seat after a long period of time...

I've had mine in for a year. Never really moves so don't have an issue with it
