HVAC LEDs

ok so im trying to change my HVAC lights and its not comming out right i put it in the car and it doesnt even light the whole thing up... so what am i doing wrong i changed the bulb to the exact same spots as the old ones.



here is a picture to kinda show what i have goin on

are you sure you have the correct posts corrected with the new leds? the sides do matter with polarization or w/e its called

ya the lights lighting up bur when u hook it up and turn the lights on its not coloring up the things its suppose to if ur understand what im saying

Actually sorry i waz thinking of the guage cluster, just try and aim ur leds better if u can and try to disperse the light a bit

the leds need to shine outward not straight up.Cover the top part of the led so they shine down ward. I use tape.

^that was what i did, just use a tape that the light can still shine through but also gets dispersed across the board, like painters tape or something

If u get normal LEDs, sand the top of the led off so it's flat.(use 600)
And then sand all around the outside to make it a diffused led, no tape needed

black electrical tape will do just fine. you just need a big enough piece to cover the top of the bulb and you will be fine. look at the link on my sig thats what i did for a member on here.

I installed 2 leds on each and it lights up but not as bright as I wanted to. Tried sanding them too. But not really doing much. Put tape on top and it did dispurse the light around but still not as bright and the bottom buttons are not really lighting up
