Take that part number that they give yah from that link, 17800082 for the SS it has to ebony color, then go www.gmpartsdirect.com/ enter the part number and its like 75.90. This should be easy to install. All it looks like you do is pop off the back piece of the console and replace it with the armrest section. Pictures will be posted.

Well after about 3 weeks of hearing nothing, I finally got a shipping notice for the armrest. Should be here on Monday. I will post pics on how to install it.
For me I want to compare it to the ford focus.
O really? I was under the impression that it hooked onto the side of the seat like my friends Volvo armrest. It hooks to the console somewhere?

Monday my ass, I got off work just now and to my surpise there was the armrest sitting at the kitchen table. Looks to an easy installation. Pics on how to install to be up around Monday.

if you go www.gmpartsdirect.com and enter those part numbers you can get them for way less. It only cost me $71.00.

I put an armrest into my manual coupe, but I didn't do it with the Chevy accesory.
I purchased the following parts used in the sedan from the dealer:
1) armrest assembly (color specific)
2) armrest support bracket (must have)
3) rear cup holder filler panel
4) four 6mm mounting screws (armrest support to body)
5) two ~10 mm screws (armrest to support)
Basically, I had to R&R the existing rear center console panel and mount the support, then the armrest, then the filler panel.
FYI,
I waitied almost 1 month for GM to supply the armrest support to me. It was on backorder forever.
All installed now, can send pics if someone needs them.
