Automatic Shifter Removal

Hey guys I just bought the Leather GM shift knob for my automatic to replace the crappy textured one.

However, I searched for a how-to there isn't any. Or if someone can find a illustration from GM on how to remove the knob and install the leather would be nice.

Any help would be nice.

Oh and don't say "just pull until it comes off" because I prefer not to unless its specifically stated.

all you have to do is move the shifter to 2nd and twist with a downward motion and you will expose the t10 or t8 torx screw remove that and comes off and then install yours

Around 90ish... Still get the ol discount at the dealership even though I don't work there anymore.

Gonna paint the silver to color match my car of course.

Oh really? That sounds nice. I think I'm gonna get a boot too, just to make it look better with the color-matched center console piece.
