Badges removed. And re-applied question

I've seen a couple of people who took off the "Cobalt" lettering and re-applied them at the top of the chevy emblem. I want to do that to my cobalt, but what should I use to hold the letters on?

Use masking tape as a boarder aligning it with something straight on the car, ie. panel. Or just eyeball it.

use a level and lay down a strip of masking tape as the border for where you want the top or bottom of the letters to be

Make sure the car isn't at a 45 deg angle though. Thats why I suggested aligning it to a straight panel on the car.
