Unfortunetly..

The mounting machines arent really that gentle when it comes to that stuff. Gives you a chance to try a new color though!

Well Here are some pics from what I did this weekend.

Before

During

After

Used 4 cans of black Plasti-Dip, 1 can of clear Plasti-Dip (I didn't realize till afterward it was going to be a matte finish, but I liked it anyway, heh), and a partial can of Nite Shades with a coat of clear Plasti-Dip on the taillights.

2 fairly thick coats on the inside part of the wheel, 4 coats on the front face, then a couple coats of the clear Plasti-dip over top. Turned out pretty well I think.

It was a fair bit of work. But worth it in the end.

Looks WAAAAY better than before IMO. haha

Hard to tell from the pictures. Are you guys only painting the face or are you doing inside the wheel too?

I'm not so sure, It almost looks like there were some nicks and scratches in the rim before the painting. I know mine had some curb rash (I have no idea how I got most of it... ) and the black plasti-dip hides it pretty well, but it seems the white stuff doesn't do as good a job of hiding them. Good thing I didn't go white!

Unless, of course, that IS dirt. Then I agree completely. Prep is key to a good finished product.

Do you guys spray the inside of the wheel as well? I'm sure it helps against brake dust building up
