balts with plastidip'd wheels..
imo 4-5 coats would be best. Thats what I used on my wheels and they came out pretty good even though I fudged up on some parts. Not sure how much that is in cans I used the paint cans they send you for custom colors
BUY THREE! not two! you want to do 4 coats.
2 cans only got to my third coat.
1st coat should be very thin. you want like 50% transparency with your wheel, and the plasti dip. then the second coat should cover everything. then 3rd and 4th coat should go over whole wheel again..
im going to do 5 coats on my wheel. just cuz.
i already plasti dipped mine white.

Anybody have any pics of their wheels done in black with the glossifier yet? Also I'm wondering if anybody has tried doing a really light coat of the new silver metalizer over black plasti dip to make a sort of gunmetal finish. That'd be really cool I think...
I only did 1 coat of glossifier because it came out of the can like ass and I did not want it to keep getting worse with more coats. It kept shooting bubbles/drips out of the can. I tired all 3 cans and all 3 sucked. It messed it up in some parts, It does not have the nice spray nozzle like the plastidip cans. I wouldn't recommend it. My buddy Plastidiped his mirrors for his truck and then used clear coat over the plastidip and buffed it lightly. It came out really shinny and he can even put wax on it. I wish I would have done that with my rims.... Maybe next time.

I would say two cans would be fine. I used almost all of the second can. I ordered 4 though so I think I may be plasti-dipping some other parts as well.
Here is a pic of mine.

I used 4 cans but it was prolly a bit overkill. I just really wanted the white to cover well.

BTW. Don't know if you want them glossy or not, but the plastidip gloss stuff doesn't work real well from my experience... lol
