balts with plastidip'd wheels..
#104
Well I just now finished my SVTF wheels and I couldnt be happier. Other than the fact that my finger is killing me from painting so much lol. I used 2 cans of Plasti-Dip (4 coats each wheel) And 1 can of Rustoleum Clear Coat (2 heavy coats each wheel). This is the final product!

That looks great. That clear worked pretty well from what I can see too. Nice work!
Vic Red w/ white wheels looks cash in my opinion. Black always looks good too but it's always done. Maybe matte grey? that might look a little different, don't know that anyone has done it.

I absolutely love this stuff. I did my wheels and then the next weekend my friend did his Jeep's wheels.
I'm going to take it off, redo it and gloss clear coat them.
I'd rather a set of SS wheels, but meh, for $80, these heavy ass wheels are fine.

i did my wheels in October and it was about 55 degrees when i started and when i spray the last wheel it got down to about 40 degrees and i dont think the last wheel dried completely i had one wheel completely peel in 2 days.
I redid it in a heated garage and its been perfect sense.
A dodge challenger came in the shop the other day and it had a nice rear lip, the car was white and the lip was black, gave me an idea to plastidip my Lip spoiler thats body colored, just to try it out, best part as always if its shitty ill just take it off!

Ok I have a few questions. 1st how does the red look? 2nd I want to do a 2tone on my rims once I spray one color and let it all dry can I tape it off or is the tape gonna pull off the plastic dip? And I want to do a red and black. Black on the face and red inbetween the spokes

The tape should be ok as long as you let the first color dry really good. I've never seen the red plastidip so not really sure what it would look like. Like the red & black idea!
