Heres how its done!
PlastiDip LAYERING Technique! How to by DipYourCar.com - YouTube

You have to be VERY VERY VERY carefull using tape on plastidip, thats why it works best on small areas.

I will say, i did a friends set of wheels on the car, using trash bags cut in half over the brakes, without carding the tires, did in in less than 1 hr and came out perfect!!!! rolled the car a foot half way done to assure the angles were done right, its much easier than taking the wheels off!

Wish they made the green in spray can form. I would love to hand a few cans over to one of my friends and have her do like some graffiti on the car

That should be good. Just take your time, especially with the tape part. The clear is kinda hit or miss on how glossy it actually makes it but it's still better than not having it on at all.

I didn't clear coat my wheels, and so far, there isn't even a scratch on the plasti dip and it's been a month or two. I even use the high-pressure washer at the car wash.

you can always use plasti-dip as a "primer" and then put any color you want over top, it will still all peel off if needed.

I'm thinking of plasti dipping my wheels until i get my hub conversion done and my new wheels on. These are the wheels I have on until then.

They are pretty beat up from the previous owner and I figure plasti dip will mask that a little and I'm not a huge fan of the chrome look. Any ideas?

Yeah mine are beat to ****, but the plasti dip hides it extremely well.

Maybe white plasti dip on your black car?

Does anybody know if the plastidip will melt if you track the car? On May 5th I will be on the Autobahn Country Club and I know the wheels are going to get extremely hot (burn to touch). Anybody know what the max temp is on this stuff once it's already applied and dry. I don't want it to melt off while I'm on the track.

Sorry to be a pest here, is that a dried picture? plastidip itself looks super gloss before it dries, i wanna see a finished dried product with clear to see how it comes out on the wheels.

Yea thats dried. I put it on the car after that. Plasti-Dip dries flat black. That is with 2 coats of dried clear coat.

I have a SVT Focus that has the European Appearance Package (EAP). Those are the stock wheels that came on the EAP SVT Focus.

Pics of the full car are on page 5.
