Best Place for Slim HID Kit H11

Jw what anyone found for a good source of H11 4300K HID kits with slim ballasts?

Before anyone says DDM Tuning, that would be great, but they will be out of stock on slim ballasts for several months, or I wouldn't have made this thread...

There is the usual eBay assortment, but I'm not sure who carries a good brand. I have used HIDs a lot in the past, and I am very familar with them. I am now looking for a good deal. It should be entirely possible to get a good H11 4300K slim kit for $50 or less. Who knows where?

I know to watch out for the XenTec junk... I've had good luck with VVME kits. What's good now? buyhids is a bit too expensive... What's good now? Maybe someone has a kit for sale? Has to be 4300K or 5000K to match OEM HIDs.

I need some H11 fogs for the Caddy to match the OEM adaptive D1S headlights...

Several reasons... They're smaller and lighter obviously. Usually they are all one unit and nicely sealed so they won't rust or get damaged. They're for fog lights in my CTS, so the only place to mount them is to tape them up inside the bumper.

Glad to hear! VVME has been pretty good to me as well. I have one of their slim kits in my bike, and I had one on my Balt. I had one light burn out, but they sent me a new one. The first one they sent was the wrong light, so I paid their $20 fee and ended up with 2 sets of lights, so it wasn't too bad lol. I guess I'll take the gamble again when I'm ready to buy... I don't see anything else worthwhile? I'd certainly try the DDM slim kit, but their Facebook claims they will be out of stock for a few months...

I've seen the kits in person and the quality is there, but it would cost at least $80 for a buyhids.com kit. I can get a $40 kit that is just as good of quality. I'll play my odds. Especially since it is for fog lights and not something super important like headlights.

^ Nice. I think most of the bulbs are actually made by Philips, so the quality is fine. The ballasts are what are usually different from what I've seen. The slim ballasts are full digital from what I have seen, so as long as they aren't total junk, I'd imagine most would last OK.

I've never seen a capaciter setup though? Sounds cool.

I just need something basic for the fogs. The factory low/high beam on this car is sicckkk! It is adaptive so it turns when you turn so that the light is always pointed at the middle of the road, and it uses a flip up gate for the high beam so you get a super nice hid high beam as well. Now I just need my fogs to match lol!

I'd like to change out the headlights for a 6000K or so for the color, but on the CTS you have to remove the entire front bumper to replace any lights in the headlight assembly lol. Then the lights need fully sealed back up to prevent moisture from getting in. Talk about a ridiculous healight change, lol!

^ Thanks for checking anyways man. I'll likely just get the VVME kit unless DDM gets some back in stock sooner.

O-Nex is a great HID kit manufacturer and one of the most realistically priced ones that are made in Japan. They are around $80 with shipping with warranty and won't fail you like the chineese ones do. Be careful when buying on ebay because many companies sell chineese made kits that they purchase for $10-15 and re-print their own label and box and sell them for $45-50. They feature no internal ignitor and use very cheap part.

Not telling anyone how to buy or why they should buy, but I have dealt with these kits for over 10 years and consistenly see the differnce when customers come into my shop with these cheap HID kits complaining that they had theres for 6 months and the ballast is not working

Thanks for the advice! Any links for a good place to buy those? I'd preferrably like to find a reputable eBay seller as I have a PayPal gift card to use.

Here is a O-Nex kit I found on eBay for $60

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/H11-4...Q5fAccessories

Did you mean to say that the digital ballasts are one piece? These have a seperate igniter attached to the cable. All of the slim ballasts I've seen are two piece. Does the ones all in one box make that much of a difference?

No you can't really fit a good ignitor in the small ballast. And the ones on ebay for $60 are not real o-nex kits. Myself and O-Nex just took a look at all and its impossible to sell the kits that low

Thanks for checking into it for me. A quick Google search found that, so I'll have to look around for a real kit. Do you sell the O-Nex kits?
