Black Cobalt Color Scheme
Black Cobalt Color Scheme
Ok, so I saw a new STI while sitting in traffic today. It was a very dark grey, almost black color with yellow brake calipers and a thin amount of yellow along one of the ridges of the tires, forming a ring around the wheel. That got me thinking about what color scheme I'm wanting to do with my black SS/TC. I've been thinking of getting my windows tinted and powdercoating my wheels black too. After it's all said and done I'm going to have a very black colored car, and I was wondering what color I should use to contrast it.
I've been thinking of painting my calipers red and leaving the Chevy emblems alone, including the ones on the wheels (so they'd be completely black with a small amber Chevy emblem). I'm planning on leaving my taillights alone, so that would be red too.
I'm wondering now if I should go with yellow/gold for the calipers. They'd go with the Chevy emblems a bit if I did.
I guess I'm torn between yellow/gold or red as the contrasting color and I can't decide. I can always paint the Chevy emblems black too (with maybe just an outline of color or something) if they don't match the scheme. What do you all think? Red... or yellow... hmm...

those colors work because they go together.
black & red or black & chrome (gun metal) or the full black out stealth look.
IMO i'm fan of the black out stealth look and the black and chrome look as my 2nd choice. Red not my thing..but that is me.
My self I was going for the full black out look.

(I got new tires..since this pic..dont flip out!!)
(whet smoke over black after sitting down with some local palm beach shrift officers..we came out with a way to make my taillight dark as possible well still being legal this what we came up with.
