black projectors now...

technically you could wire up an HID kit I'm sure but a projector lamp made for a halogen bulb would not given an optimal light output.
not all projectors are the same...

I'll do a complete how to with pics later today and prob. post tonight.
So overall how much did u spend?

Those projectors aren't HID projectors. This is just as bad as HID kits on basic cobalt headlamps.
Like I said before, these projectors in these lamps are cheap plastic crap. Putting an HID bulb in them would be terrible.
Look at this image, this is an OEM Halogen Bosch projector in a cougar with an HID kit.
The result, Terrible glare, terrible hotspots, and no light going anywhere.
I don't even want to know what an HID bulb would look like on those ebay cobalt projectors although I do already have a faint idea.

For functionality I think Mercury's headlights are good but for looks they look kinda dumb thats just my opinion. Im am sure someone will put HID in these projectors soon enough and we'll be able to judge for ourselves.

Merc did the best job that he can do without owning or working at a fabrication plant. If he had access to a casting machine or fab tools, I'm sure the end product would be better.

All that you guys need now to go with those projectors is a great set of HIDs.

This site gives a description of all the OEM bulb types.
It also has a plethora of lighting technologies and engineering specs explained.

You simply need to find out what type of bulb your vehicle require, and them you just purchase the same size in HID to do a straight replacement.
The bulbs differ slightly by size, but they all output a comparable amount of light.
Please let us know if you have any other questions
