Black Trunk & Wingless

Just wondering what you guys thought on this..... I've always liked wingless cobalts so I decided to go get a couple of quotes today. A custom body shop down the road from my house has a price of 375 dollars. That includes him taking my trunk off, taking spoiler off, welding the holes, grinding to a smooth surface, debadging it for me, painting it black, and installing it back on. ALSO lifetime warranty if there is any scratches on it in anyway later on.

Wanting some thoughts on...
-painting it black?
-price?
-wingless?

BTW: The other shops around here were 450-500 with no warranty and acted like I had two heads when I said I wanted to go wingless.

I've looked around a little bit. Nothing so far. This isn't something I'm doing in the next week. Checking out all of my options first

hmmmmmmmmm, I might run by a few places and see what I can find. It's not like it's hard to replace the trunk anyways.

at that price you might as well buy a new carbon fiber wingless one and then sell your current trunk on craigslist. I bet you'll get atleast $175 for it from somebody.

Price seems about right. I was quoted $350 at several shops to do mine, and that included shaving the trunk lock as well. All black trunk though? Not 100% sold on it. Maybe between the tail lights or something, kind of like a muscle car throwback. Since your hood and roof aren't black, it might just look off. But, that's just my opinion.

Well I offered that and their quote was 900 dollars flat. I didn't mention that part because that is a little steep for me seeing as though i am only 17...
