I was thinking about buying black vinyl and cut it out to fit my back chevy badge and my front badge. Has anyone done this? If so will it work good?

 

I know some people have tried it with carbon fiber looking vinyl.....don't know how it came out though. It's cheap enough, if you do, do it and mess up...no big deal. You probably will only spend about $10. I'm just going to paint mine

 

try it, do it right and it will look good, plus you can always change the color if you want, just make a template

 

I was just looking at a thread the other day where the fake cf looked PIMP, but I can't find the damn thing. But, if it's a solid color, just paint it.

 

im going to put clear black on mine, that way it may have a little gold in it, ill see how it looks

 

I used vinyl that I took from work and put it on my badges. Looks great, you just need a very sharp x-acto knife to cut it out after you apply it. And remember, stretch it out. Don't try to overuse the vinyl because vinyl looks better stretched then bunched up with creases

 

One of the guys that used CF Vinyl said that its starting to peel back... but when he first put it on it looked amazing
