I think you're dumb for bringing back this thread just for that when its about the color of lights... plus I didn't realize cuda009's words had any authority over anyone else.

Can we just agree to disagree and have comments from here on out about the original topic?
We can discuss drinking and driving sometime over a beer

I have blue reverse lights and I have had no problems and I have backed up with cops in the parking lot. I think just because they don't stay on while driving is why I have gotten away with it. When I bought them I didn't know they would be that blue, but I love how they look.

I have a blue LED on my license plate and I haven't been pulled over (knock on wood) I also asked a cop if my license plate light was ok and he said it is fine that it is blue, they just have to be able to read your plates. I'm about to put blue leds in for my reverse lights. But I also live in Kentucky so it might be different I'm your state

I have blue fog lights mounted behind the mesh of the skirt at the back, and white LED's in the reverse spot.

For a while the only reverse I had were the blue fogs, and I never had an issue.

However, I did have a blue LED strip under each headlight, and got nailed for that.

When I got my Spyder headlights, 3 little blue and 3 little green LED's in the accent lights, and got nailed again.

Reverse light on the left is OEM halogen, and the right is aftermarket LED.... HUUUGE difference!

exterior vehicle lighting colors are mandated by federal law.

yup! with specific colors to specific areas of the car. EXCEPT blue/red blinking. especially in front area of the car, where only clear/amber is mandated.

What do you mean EXCEPT?
Colors and flashing are all outlined in federal laws. Most states just adopt the already written federal laws to their own codes.

the lights are color specific to the area they are on the car.

for example, blue and red are illegal cus of emergency equipment, however, we have rear red lights that can blink, just not in front with blue lights synced with them.

It's off now anyway.

Threw it on there when I de-badged in the spring, but started to not like the look of it after about a week haha

There is a limit on the time span it can pulse and it must remain solid after that time frame.

What about sequential lights like on the mustangs?

It's almost a blink, just really slow.

I had yellowish Amber hid projectors in my old cobalt. Loved the way it looked and I never got in trouble.

Lol meaning blue lights period is dumb as hell. But about 5500k-6000k hid's and lower are fine with a small amount of blue. Anything above that looks/is stupid

The guy you quoted posted that in 2009. I don't think he even visits the site anymore.

I see you are pretty excited about your new car but you cluttering up the forum by bumping old threads and posting questions that have been answered 1000's of times.

Also don't put blue lights on your car. It attracts attention from police and look pretty tacky/ cheap. Plus it's illegal, Police don't appreciate people using their light colors.
