bluntgasm's Rare!! 2006 Cobalt SS/SC

"bluntgasm's" This is a Cobalt never seen before, it is a 2006 SS/SC with normal 18 inch gunmetal looking wheels, and the SS/NA has the normal 17 inch chrome looking wheels, Well the wheels on this 2006 seem to be the wheels that are the 400$ chrome option for 2007 SS/SC. How did he get these!! & he has G85 package

no black tie radio or 3 piece wheel(so we know it is not 2007)

already spoke to him, he wanted the "normal" gun metal look, this 2006 came like this from factory!

Perhaps they got mixed up from the factory with the 2006 malibu SS wheels which are also 5 bolt pattern and super shiney. Although, i bet the cobalt and malibu are not made in the same state.

theyd have to be made in the me factory for that mixup to happen....i doubt it he prob. new someone at the dealer or somethin like that and got hooked up with a set...or he couldve even traded some1 with a 2007 for his painted rims and took the guys polished...possible....i think theyve been out for nearing monh now...

The chrome rims are an option on the 2006 SS/SC... they're expensive though. I really like the gunmetal rims now that I have them.

hmmm sure any proof on this, i could be wrong, but thought it was like a 400$ option for 2007 making it 100$ wheel, not really that expensive but to others maybe...

I thought it was a known fact that the polished wheels were an option... I've seen a few with them on here. Black one, orange one, silver one...

i just got lucky. the dealer only had one orange ss/sc in stock and it had the chrome 18'' on them already. the yellow ss/sc they had was with gunmetal but i wanted the orange one.

Yeah, well known that the chrome wheels became an option halfway through the 2006 model run. Nothing special there.

The polished ones cheapen the look of the car imo . Sweet SS otherwise though , the SOM look cool .

Very nice. The chrome rocks! I know a few S/C SS owners that like my 17" chrome rims better then their own

They are not chrome, they are polished. I think they look terrible IMO. They aren't clean in person like a real chrome finish, if they were chrome the $400 were be worth it.
