Body Shop Time

Well, I'm going to the Body Shop sometime within the next week to get my door fixed.

Last September, some dumb chick in her rental car (she had totalled her car, and was driving the rental illegally [shes 16]) backed into my partially open door, folding in the leading edge, and partially folding the door in half below the mirror. Her insurance company paid to have the whole door and fender replaced (the door was forced into the fender) for a total of $1950.

The body shop I'm going to says they can fix the door by pounding it back into place and using body filler to make it look right again, so I'm going to take that route because its alot cheaper.

While it's there I'm going to use the money I saved to have the antenna removed (along with the 1/16" deep keymark alongside it). Also, the trunk lock will be filled.
Anyone got any suggestions as to what else I should do while its there?

I think I might have some extra paint mixed, because I will be getting side skirts and a rear lip in the no-so-distant future

good luck! I shaved my keylock as well and it looks awesome. Just make sure you dont close the trunk with the battery disconected and the back seats up or else you are in trouble....you're just going to have to trust me on that one......

better of replacing the door, you dont wanna have to deal with problems later.
