bodykit questions

I know how to search but i couldn't find the exact answers i was looking for. sorry if they're on here somewhere but i couldn't find them.

ok, so i have an 07 lt with very few mods. I really want the bodykit that the ss/sc has and so i had a few questions.

Front Bumper - I know that the front bumper of the 2.0 and 2.4 are different from the 2.2's and i think i'm correct when i say that the only difference between 2.0 and 2.4 is the lip that comes stock on the 2.0. So just to make sure for the front bumper i would need to buy a bumper for the 2.0 or 2.4 and then buy the lip. Correct?

Rear Bumper - This is where i'm most confused. Is the rear bumper itself any different on the 2.0 or 2.4 from the bumper on the 2.2? I'm not talking about the "lip" that goes on or whatever it's called. I'm talking about the bumper itself. What i most want to know is if i buy this rear lip will it fit on the 2.2 rear bumper or is it a must to get a bumper from the 2.0 or 2.4?

Side Skirts - I think i'm fairly clear on these. They just fit on any cobalt right?

Sorry if this is hard to read or if there's anything unclear but i hope all these questions get answered soon. thanks.

only buy the lip if you get a 2.0 bumper.....2.4 is good, i have one.....

it depends if you have a sedan or a coupe....if you have a coupe, then the 2.0 has the lip, the 2.4 doesn't... if you have a sedan, then the 2.4 bumper is the only bumper that fits...NO the lip doesn't fit on the 2.2 rear bumper....

Side Skirts - I think i'm fairly clear on these. They just fit on any cobalt right?

It is a completely different kit. The front bumper is different on both cars. THe rear bumper is different. Every bracket, brace, clip, etc is different. I have run this through many times and parts alone for the ss/sc kit is about $2000.

so kenhebe you're saying that with my LT i can't just buy the 2.0 front bumper and lip, the 2.0 rear bumper and lip, and the side skirts, and have them installed?

wow soo much wrong info....

Front SS/SC bumper WILL fit without question useing stock mounting locations. the SS/SC lip will fit on the SS/SC bumper no matter what balt you have, it jsut mounts to your bumper NOT car. the Lip will NOT fit the 2.4 front bumper as there are no slots for the lip to mount to. the 2.4 bumper will attach on a 2.2 balt useing stock mounts. How do i know this? I have a ss/sc bumper and lip on my 2.2 sedan.

Next are the sidesskirts, they will FIT any balt coupe or sedan. BUT you will not be able to use the clips that go down the middle of the skirt as we dont have the holes. Just pull the clips off and mount the skirt. They mount in the wheel well.

Last the rear 2.0 and 2.4 bumpers will fit a 2.2 coupe WITHOUT problems. They use the same holes as stock bumpers. The lip mounts directly to the 2.0 bumper fine no need to mod it. these bumpers will not fit the SEDAN unless you have the SS rear sedan bumper.

You can, but that kit requires a completely different set of brackets and hardware. The part numbers are different.

Then how come the parts numbers are different from GM. In the estimating system that I have at my shop (which is linked to the GM database) everything is different.
