Bottom Out Much?
Bottom Out Much?
To those both with and without kits.. I don't have a Cobalt SS SC yet, but I'm planning on getting an '07 this upcoming spring. Just wondering if any of you bottom out much. My '98 Camaro does if I don't take some driveways/streets at big angles and so does my buddy's '95 Neon. What's the word on bottoming out in this community?
I know you are looking for info on the SS, sorry, I don't have one. However, I had to remove my RK Sport front lip from my LS while still on stock suspension from always bottoming out over driveways.
That's one thing I really like about BWM's, the front axle is all the way up in the front of the car, so there isn't much forward of that line to ground out against anything.

Up until I had the bumper replaced I tried to avoid it as best I could. But now with the new 1 I'm pretty much used to what entrances I have to take to get to/to leave certain stores or buildings and not scrape.
To add to my earlier comment, I'm now on Eibach Pro-kit springs with the stock LS front end and I no longer have a problem. I'm going to replace the front facia with the SS/NA (no lip) in the future. I'll retain my clearance, and get the look I want.
Well, actually now that I look at it.. the Drifter 2 Uniflex body kit I'm looking at is just a tiny bit lower (the front fascia) than the OEM SS/SC front lip. I'm sure it'll be okay. Thanks for all the input, guys!
Oh, and to get it on a jack.. try driving the car up on a few pieces of 2x4s? It works with some guys I know who have real low cars.
