i sanded it down, and used plastic krylon spray paint. came out good, and the can was like 3 dollars.

If you paint it red and don't like it, the worst that can happen is that you have to paint it black. Go for it!

please do spray paint and painters tape. brush on will just leave streaks. and yea, i would go with the red, and like the other guy said, if u dont like it, just go over it with black.

and a side note, make sure u buy some clear coat spray paint

Ok first the front bowties comes off with the two screws that hold it on. Second use some plastic adhesive primer on it then paint it your color of choice and then put a clear coat on it then wax it. But if you wanna do just the center piece its glued to the chrome piece take it apart paint then glue it back together

yea two little screws. and yea, red spray paint, then clear coat. 3-5 coats of each should be fine. dont be afraid to do 5+ coats of the clear coat though, it will only help it.

yeah the front bowtie is just screwed on you have to open your hood and look behind the front grill and i think there are 2 10mm bolts they are like bolts but not you will see when you take them out but use a plastic adhesive primer it helps for when you paint it also

Just remeber when you do this many coats take your time make sure the last coat is dry before you do another or you will get runs in the paint and it looks really bad and 2 coats of primer, 3 coats of paint and 4 coats of clear make sure they are small one when you first start off or it will turn out bad

see the thing is you wont use hardly any of it but say you wanna paint your interior pieces well you can use the rest of that stuff for it so all in all if you use it wisely you can paint a lot of stuff with it just a suggestion

I just used a straight glossy spray paint. Clear coat the hell out of it and it'll stand up to anything.

yea thats what i did. i left the rear badge on. all i did was put paper (it fits nicely between the badge and the car) between the badge and the car and then tape off the silver part. it is alot easier then taking the while badge off. but the front one is only held on by a couple screws.

yea its done. but i feel like a dummy cuz i think i put too much red paint on cuz the paint is like soft, either that or i didnt let it dry enough. but while i was holding it on putting the screws back on i accidently pushed on the paint and now there is just a finger print on the top. who knows, maybe the bowtie fairy will come n fix it tonight. lol
