Bowtie Question

So i am going to be painting my bowties pretty soon and i want to know the easiest way to do this before i get started. So, are there screws on the inside of the trunk and hood that i unscrew and take them off? Or do i just tape it off and be very careful?

Its essentially a big sticker. Take some fishing string and gently saw behind it to break the adhesive tape loose. Then clean up the adhesive on the trunk and bowtie.

Don't paint it ON the car, thats just dumb. See how you feel about it OFF the car. I think it really cleans up the look. My badge was on crooked from the start anyways...

The front has 2 10mm nuts on the backside you can reach from between grill and ac condenser. The one on trunk is taped on. I would remove the front to paint it and just tape and cover the rear end to paint that one.

Yes, and risk overspray... go for it.

Looks great without the trunk emblem. Try that out.

The easiest way to paint them is to take them completely off. It's not as hard as it seems. I also like the debadged look on the trunk as well.

I don't have a badge on the rear of mine. I agree it looks better off...just saying with a spare sheet and some tape would be easier than risking damaging the paint job taking it off then putting it back on straight.....Ive heard of plenty of people painting them on the car with no problems. You just have to put a few minutes into prepping everything to protect from overspray.

Mines completely stripped out. When I tried to remove it just sat and spun. tried to put some tension on it in hopes it would get enough grip to come off. But no go. So Either have to cut it off or try twisting them off I think.
