So long story short last May (yes that long ago) I had my sunroof open and when I went to close it, it wouldn't close right. Eventually I got it to close but what happened was the plastic frame on the passenger's side has an army attached to the glass and that broke. So because of that the sunroof has not been operable since and I just never got around to repairing it. Well I had my car parked on a slight incline, nose up, and after the freak rainstorm last Monday found that it was indeed leaking into the car so now I'm going to repair it (finally). I purchased a Cobalt repair manual online and it's mighty detailed but it lacks detail on the sunroof repair (of course).

Has anyone repaired the frame on their sunroof? I know there are some drain tubes in there that could have popped off and that is something I will look in when I get it apart. Any advice or even diagrams or what not you might possess that you found in going about this?

Mine just broke today. It wont close all the way. When positioned to full closed, it remains jamed up on the driver's side.

 

Yeah I just replaced the whole thing it was easier. It's the cheap, shitty plastic framing that broke on mine. ******* Cobalts.
