I daily drive my 06 SS/SC and my commute to work is around 150 miles round trip 5 times a week. I do car pool, but it's still a ton of miles. I have a ZZP Stage 3 heat exchanger I put on in the spring and it looked great but now it looks pretty beat up from all the bugs that hit it on a daily basis. I clean my car a lot but I can't keep the bugs from hitting it.

I checked out ebay and most of their grill inserts look like something that belongs on a truck. Are there any other options? I thought this one on ebay looked decent in the pictures but who knows in person?

Get a OEM grille from CED.

 

OEM off of what? I see nothing in the Cobalt section there.

 

The cobalt bumpers have an oem lower grille, which most people remove so that you can see the he/intercooler, however, that grille actually does help keep bugs and rocks out. The 05-07 lower grille matches the stock ss/sc grille, and the 08-10 grille matches the ss/tc honeycomb grille

Some 05-07 2.0's and 2.4's didn't come with them. Maybe no '05 cars had it at all. With the number of 2.4's I see without it, I'm pretty sure all of those people didn't take it out.
