ok so i installed my 1st gen projectors and the normal driving bulbs dont go on, on both sides, does this mean that both are burnt out, every other light on them works but these. i bought it used, if they are burn out, what bulbs would i buy and where. thanks.

Depends on your housings. My housings wouldnt allow my bulb to go in. So I had to trim/sand down the opening just to make it fit.


And im not understanding your H1 universal question. H1 is a bulb type. Its like your saying if a ps3 controller is universal with all ps3's.
