buying this body kit soon

Sup guys, As soon as i get my tax return i'm going to buy this body kit. On the website they call it the Zen body kit but, its actually the Import trenz BC2 body kit. The price isn't bad. 529 and free shipping so. It's on the website, www.carbodykitstore.com. What do you guys think of the kit? My only problem will be finding a body shop that will paint and install it for a decent price. I'm hoping for no more than 450 or 500 max. Any body else that has got a body kit, how long does it usually take to paint and install the kit?

paint is closer to a 1000 than 500 and installation is another fee unless you install it yourself. painting usually takes 2-3 days depending on the shop

yea, i would expect to pay well over $1,000 for paint and install. there's usually some type of fabrication or prep work that needs to be done to a body kit. it's pretty rare that you can take it out of the box and just put it on.

but, the installation is easy if you have patience. i would take a weekend, and do a test fit. the bumpers are held on by a bunch of screws and clips, so a basic screwdriver is pretty much all you need for the install. if you feel that it fits well, just have the shop paint it. you will save an assload of money that way. i saved about $300 by installing just my front bumper after i had it painted.

My buddy has a 91 mr2 and for him to have the dents pulled, body work done and the whole car repainted... 3 body shops all quoted right around $5600. It will look brand new again, but still.... this stuff ain't cheap!
