New Projectors arrived! Pics! Need help with the HID setup though..

So they arrived today!

So there's a bit of wiring for the halos/leds. Nothing to worry about, but what should I tie them into though? I want them on all the time when the headlights are both on or off. I have an 07 keep in mind.

And here's the HID kit, mobilehid.com 6000k H1's:

Now, I Know exactly how to wire em in, cept for the plug in the middle. Think I can cut the 2 wires that run from the lowbeam on the projector and use them to power this? Its labelled as the remote turn-on from the headlight, and you're supposed to just unplug it from the stock headlight and plug it into the hid kit.. cept that doesnt work here as im using the stock plug to adapt for 2 headlights.

Here's pics of the lowbeam projector (gonna be useless as the hid kit draws its own power from the batter), and under that a close up of the remote turnon plug.

So what do you think? Chop off the connections on the lowbeam projector that will be replaced with the hid kit, and use that to splice into the remote turnon? It makes sense in my mind but I want to double check with you guys first. Thanks for any info!

I guess I should have resized the pics a bit smaller too >.>

The blue connector's are indeed female 9007s, to adapt the old headlights to the new without splicing or ripping apart your stock harness.

how much did they cost?
$250 for the HIDs (got em in a GB for $120, then they took forever to ship so they actually discounted the kit in full except for shipping costs).

about $150 + shipping for the projectors.

do NOT chop your stock wiring and power it with them.

that piece your talking about is a relay, so that you draw power directly from battery during the ignition phase.

there is a MASSIVE draw of power to ignite HID bulbs (up to 25,000 volts)
drawing that much power through stock wiring is not a very good idea, for obvious reasons.

This is the diagram for the HID kit:

See the plug I'm talking about isn't the relay, the relay is completely seperate. I think all this plug does is tells the relay when to power on. So seeing as I would only want it to call for power when I want the lowbeams on, wouldnt I just splice these 2 together..
I was hoping you'd answer me Anomalous, I see you posting about this **** all the time.

The remote turn on is what the factory harness connects to.

i bought those a few days ago, hopefully i'll get them in soon. look pretty nice. but they require wiring? was really hoping for plug and play cause i'm not gonna mess with wiring.

edit: okay, i just realized that the lights are plug and play, but halos/leds need wiring... der, helps to read! how hard/easy is wire splicing, and i'm guessing the wiring is done right on the headlight itself going into the plug, correct?

The remote turn on is what the factory harness connects to.
Alright but even so that factory harness is going to be used on the plug and play for the headlight, which is actually just going to be highs seeing as the lowbeam is going to be replaced with the hid kit and wirirng harness.
So what I need to know is if instead of taking the factory headlight turn-on plug and using that, can i just splice lower down the line at the lowbeam so my highs are still using the factory plug, catch my drift?
I'm going from one headlight to two.. but the hid kit requires the factory harness.. but I cant use it because the highs are going to be using it. So I want to splice into the unused lowbeam harness and use that for the remote turn-on for my hid kit. NOTE again this is not the relay, just a switch really.
I can't make it any clearer, can anyone see what I mean?

Ok. The best way i can think of (and not much thought going into this) Is to take the wiring from the low beam portion of the aftermarket headlight harness, cut the connectors off and cut the connector off the remote turn on for the HID kit. Solder the two lines together and heatshrink wrap the connectors. this way you can use the HID kit wiring and keep your factory harness intact incase you need to swap back to stock.

for the other headlight, you will not need to make the same connection because you only have the one remote turn on source. For the other light, just disconnect the connectors from the low beam wires to the bulb and either tape them up, or, cut the connectors off and wrap the end of the wires/heat shrink them to keep them water tight. this way you can just run the low beam directly from the ballast for the other headlight without having to worry about the remote source like you did the first headlight.

I'll be curious to see how you make out with this. I'm looking to do the same thing you are.
