Nice pic man!

Question: Anyone have a picture or know of one that shows a black cobalt w/ CF hood AND trunk? (wingless)?

That looks really good! That's the hood I'm gonna get. You havent had any problems without the hood pins? I know you were continplating getting them. I'm in the process of doing carbon fiber eyelids. I just hope they look good with a cf hood? Who knows, I may sell them too.

The hood did good without the hood pins, but I put hood pins on my car just to be safe lol, I need to get newer pics.

I just ordered a Carbon Fiber hood and trunk for my black 08 SS TC so I will take pics when I get it. The guy told me it will take about a week and a half to make and UV clearcoat but I am definitely willing to wait. I got such a good deal. $700 Canadian taxes in for both. It's pickup from Hamilton, Ontario which isnt too far from me. I can't wait and I will definitely post pics for you when it's on.

If it's a 50-50 it cost a decent amount of money I'd put the money elsewhere.

You know what they say, once you go black, you need a wheelchair sorry

IMO It'll look just ask good as if it were on a colored car, but it's a different kind of good. It's more subtle but still looks great, kinda classy. But like said above if you're not that sure about it, spend the money elsewhere cuz what if you don't like it.

The advantage to having a black car is that, if you do decide to go the CF route you aren't limited in any way. ie. if fenders/bumpers, or doors become available you can get away with it, and then you start seeing some real weight savings. I on the other hand with Sunburst Orange could not.

Sex on wheels. This is a local car I snapped shots of at a BBQ meet last Spring. He has the trunk also,,, I dunno if I got any shots of it though.

Also, If you read Modified Mag, they did an article a month or 2 ago on a Japanese shops Subie, It had CF Hood/Trunk/Fenders/WideBody/Doors/Dash etc. Was beautiful

Back on topic. If you want it start with the hood, best weight savings (compared to trunk) and if you go functionally vented there are performance/cooling benefits. Also, buy hood pins, if you track it they are Essential, even if not they are just good insurance. Then if you like that, buy the trunk, I'm sure you'll dig it. I wish I had the scratch to blow on the trunk right now,,, but I just can't justify it.

I went with Aerocatch FTW
