Can someone post pics of a cobalt with depot headlights?
Thats what I was told. Though people with the original sets that never ran the stock halogen bulbs dont seem to have cracking issues. So to be safe id say to order the hids at the same time and do the hid install in the gen 4 depot lights before ever turning them on.
Lots of places to get decent hid sets for cheap.
buyhids
ddm
etc etc

Im confused, can I just run Low beam HID's and Halogen High Beams with these?

I honestly do love mine. And i have thought about taking my stock lenses from my stock lights and putting them on the depots but have been too lazy. But they do make a nice difference! I could never go back to the stock lights!
Can I run Low beam HID's and High Beam Halogens with these? Im just confused on how the wiring harness is arranged. And I cant find Pictures.
Yes. I have HID low beam with Halogen High Beam. I also have the Ultimate High Beam mod done. There is a wiring harness which comes on the lights already which has a plug that plugs into the stock connector. The wiring harness which comes built into the headlight unit serves to split the wires and send them to the appropriate location. Pretty simple. You will know what I mean when you get them and see it on the back.

The headlights themselves have a harness that plugs right into the factory harness.
So yes theres low beam and high beam seperate bulbs
The hids will plug into the low beam harness plug but power comes from the ballast from a seperate set of wires on the hids (thats why you need to cut a slit in the rubber grommet)

There is a separate connector which has all the wires for the headlight in it (including turn signal/park lights, low beam, and high beam lights). You disconnect this from the stock headlight unit to remove it from the vehicle. Then, with the new headlight unit (the Gen 4 headlight), there is a connector which plugs back into the stock connector. It does the same thing by sending the parking light/turn signal wires off to the respective bulb/location, low beam wires off to their respective bulb/location, and same with the high beam. When you put HIDs in, you have to connect the ballast to the end of these wires which came from that connector. They will be located behind the rubber grommet on the back of the headlight and will be plugged into the halogen bulb which comes with the headlights. So you unplug the two wires from the halogen bulb and plug them into another wire which is part of the ballast. This will send the power into the ballast.
I have to run to a meeting here now (I am at work as I write this) so I will try to explain it better when I return if I have the time!
Also, to OP, there is some more pictures and information here:

No. There is no splicing of wires required (unless you want to do the Ultimate High Beam mod). The wiring harness which comes built into the headlight unit does this for you.
I'm not really sure what your question is asking, but I will answer it the best I can. If you mean will the stock connector plug into the HID ballast, then no it will not. But it does not need to. The stock connector will plug into the headlight unit wiring harness no sweat because it is built into the headlight. Then the HID ballast will end up connecting into the wires from this harness. I tried explaining this below, but I am having a hard time explaining it good without actually showing you how it works.

So basically everything will be plug and play?

Im confused like this guy YouTube - cobalt "gen 4" headlights
HID install is easy. Cut a small circle on the big black grommet thing that guy pulled off the back of the light near the end of the video. The HID bulb has a grommet on the wires that will go in the hole you just cut. This grommet actually has four wires going through it. Two go directly into the bulb, and the other ends will plug into the same plugs coming from the ballast. The other two wires you have to plug into the plug that normally goes onto the back of the halogen bulb. This is what turns the HIDs on. If you are using a relay harness, these two wires will act as the trigger for the relay. If you are not using a relay harness, then these two wires will have a plug on the other end that plugs directly into the ballast to give it power. The big black connector on the headlights that buddy in the video was talking about just plugs into the same plug on the car.
Yes everythings plug and play.
I promise it will make a lot more sense once you see it all in person. you only need 3 tools mainly for installation.
A ratchet with I want to say a 12mm socket (been a bit)
A knife (to cut the hole in the grommet)
A phillips screwdriver (to adjust the height they are aimed at.)
Optional - sealant to seal the hole in the grommet once the wires have been ran through
No cutting splicing or anything else is really needed.

Ok guys I understand it now. thanks. pretty simple.
Sorry OP for thread jacking.
And i just bought some from Modernperformance.

Haha sweet I'm glad he asked all the question cuz I was wondering the same thing, I figured it would all make sence once I have the actual headlight in my hand, I'm pretty excited to get these. I'll prob pick up a set this or next week. I found them on eBay for 170 + 35 shipping? Does it matter where I buy from like quality wise or are they all the same? Thanks guys
