Can someone post pics of a cobalt with depot headlights?
Cracking? That's new to me. These, imo, are great quality headlights. First gens crack easily. Second gens halos burn out easily. Never had third gens. Been very happy with 4th gens so far.
They come with halogen bulbs. H7's iirc. I drilled out the center of the rubber backing for the low beams, pushed HIB bulb through and sealed with rubber plug and rubber sealant that HID wires were going through when I got them. When you look at them you can't tell that the HIDs were not a part of them originally. Btw, I got my HIDs from 3bspec.com.
So how is the intall for hids with these? I have 8 k in my housings now do I need anything else or will it just plug in the same way they do now? I'm just confused how it works since there's high and lows now, thanks
Had my 2nd gen's for 2 yrs now & they are still just as bright as the day I put them in. If I could afford custom fancy retrofits I would go that route w/out question.
My headlights are in my sig. but they are actually a very bright white not blue pic has been edited obviously lol.

If bought new they are prewired its plug and play.
If adding an HID kit (highly recommend due to halogen causing stress cracks in gen 4s) then just order the H7 hid kit. Cut a small slit in the rubber plug grommet run the hid wires through it plug everything in put the rubber grommet back in. Then put sealant on the slit in the rubber grommet. Then your done!
Heres mine along with some of the stress cracking I was talking about. I dont recommend running the halogen bulbs in the gen 4s as it does or did cause stress cracking. It was said a while back that they have since fixed the stress cracking issue. My set was one of the earlier sets.
