Carbon fiber hood
Just spoke w/ a company about the availability and new choice for us as far as a C/F hood goes. He encouraged a Group buy.
I will update you when more info becomes available.

This will be an OE style hood.
The group purchase price will be: $586(Can) or aprox $480 (US) plus shipping.
Still waiting on pics and more details.

Nice.
Don't a couple of other companies make CF hoods as well? I just got my Cobalt last week and Im starting to finally research. I love the GRAVANA body kit though, definitely getting that.

I can get them cheaper then that through a company in Ontario as well.. The same company who's hood the buy with the blue SS with 20's has.. The company is Desired Customs.. This hood is on the Nopi Car, Koing Car, a Race car (to name a few big ones)..
It's $500 a hood taxes in ready to install..

$500 CDN.. Ontario..
Edit: Sorry didn't see you were from Ontario, I though you were American asking where.. The exact location in Ontario is.. Niagara Fall's.. So it's a good spot for both American's and Canadian's to pick up the hood (if you are in a good location)..
I am seriously debating about getting one.. Not 100% sure since I have laser eye surgery booked for November 2nd.. Unless I find someone to buy my Terminator 2 spoiler..

To tell you the truth I am not 100% sure.. I will have to email them.. But by the sounds of the compays they produce the hoods for.. And the fact he says nothing beats the quaility.. I would have to say yes its factory mounting (he said $500 and it's ready to install) and I would want to say it's double sided..
let me find out for sure.

just remember
very rarely do these hoods fit perfectly
i dont know how bad the cobalts are gonna be, but a lot of my friends had to get hoods 'fitted'
so be aware of that before anyone gets frustrated

Well he got back to me.. He says that it's fiberglass on the bottom and carbonfiber on the top.. Then it's sealed and clearcoated on both sides, he says unlike most companies. He says that a full carbon fiber hood is about $1500.. So I told him about the JSP having a full carbon hood..
But now that I sit here and think about.. JSP's are the same way as this guys.. Fiberglass bottom and Carbon Fiber top.. Cause I remember one of the ones they were producing for a guys Cavy and in the pictures you can 100% tell its carbon fiber on the top only. Which to me honestly I don't care if it's carbon on the bottom or not.. Cause I mean as long as the fiberglass is nice and smooth underneath thats all that matters to me..
It uses the top latch etc.. you need to transfer them from the stock hood which is like that in most cases anywaz..
