I never quite understood this craze, I can understand doing it on say a 68 Camaro, or an older car where the hood was made of sheet metal and 6 feet long. But the cobalt hood is what...3 1/2 feet? Made of fiberglass? at max your shaving 5-10 LBS for 300 bucks. I just don't get the point of it. Isn't the money better spent on exhaust or intake mods that actually give you more power?

Or is it an image thing? Then it would make more sence.
