Does anybody know where i can get a black center console for my 09 cobalt ss

Like...a black radio/hvac and black trim? If that's what you're referring to, then check eBay. And look under Pontiac G5

How are they with the emergency break right underneath it? It seems pretty easy to install it

Getting the mountin base in is a pain, but still easy.
I just kept unscrewing more things from the center console and taking pieces off.
I didnt want to break anything, after that its cake.

Eh...my buddy had one on his. He loved it. It was in the way of the E-brake a bit...but nothing that would annoy you too much.

I just lift the armrest up slightly to engage and disengage the e-brake. The comfort, and extra storage space far out weighs the minor inconvience of lifting the armrest everytime you park.

Dont have a problem with it when parking, brake lever doesn't even touch the armrest
