Cf Hood
anyone else have a issue with the fitment and the way it looks...i just put mine on like 5 mins ago but it looks like in the middle its not down all the way and the headlights have a nice gap so im wondering if thats not the right fit but its a OEM cf hood so all the OEM stuff went back on and took me literally 5 mins to put on out of the box, i also lowered the bump stops all the way down and it still doesnt look right, anyone with info pls help.

see the way yours fits mine doesnt fit like that, yours seems flush and the way it should look... is that what you had to do disconnect the strut rod?

Well I found a weaker and shorter one at Advance Auto that did the job nicly. But YES the factory strut is rated for a steel hood that weighs more, so it doesn't et the hood shut all the way cause the CF flexs a little. Also running the factory strut will from what I've seen cause cracks to apear onthe hood due to the tention.
That was like a year and a half ago!
I can't remember man sorry. BUT what you do is take your old one in and tell them you need to find one thats weaker and ask if you can go check them out. USUALY they'll say sure. Then just go do a comparison by taking them out and trying to colapse them. You'll be able to find a weaker one I'm sure of it! This is the same thing I had to do cause before me noone bothered!
What this old thing?

well that might be a issue but, it looks like the intake is pushing up on the hood, the tube with the braided hose from the turbo seems to be a little high as well as the charge piping

i had to lower the hood latch slightly. i just loosened the 3 bolts, and it has a little up and down play. a few mm makes a lot of difference actually. try that.
