CF Hood And Trunk....few questions

So I've been considering losing the wing and doing a CF hood, trunk, and then having the b-pillars and roof painted a gloss black to match the finish of the hood and trunk. Have been searching around but haven't come across much talk of either of these yet. Since I'm just starting to look into these any comments or suggestions on which companies has some quality hoods and trucks for us would be appreciated! I have had experiences with many CF products in the past and have seen some seriously **** products for fit qualities, that is the last thing I want to run into with this again! Who should I be looking at, and who should I be staying away from for sure!?!?! Thanks

Does anyone know if you can drill through carbon fiber to put the rear spoiler back on.

Im not a pro or anything but i know u can drill thru it cuz my friend did it on his hood to install hood pins. However it was only 1 sided CF the other side was something else not sure exactly what it was. Here is a link to a site that I know has a CF trunk (only place I have seen selling it) as well as some different styles of CF hoods http://www.racingsolution.com/chevy_cobalt.asp

WOW thats exactly what was on my mind before I even logged on to here! the only thing that I thought might prevent somone from doing so is the fact that CF is verry brittle and might crack in the prosses ........ but ive realy got no clue

I used to build battle bots, so I've dealt with alot of CF.

You can drill thru it, but it will eat your drill bits if you drill to much, and it wont be a clean cut thru, the carbon steel will fray like cotton. Also unless you have alot of saws, dont try cutting it, i've spent hours and hundreds of cutting bits just trying to cut .08" carbon fiber. Drilling shouldnt be a problem though.

If I were you, I'd have the pillars overlaid in Carbon fiber.

Also, on second thought, i was watching ESPN2 the other day and they were covering a Tuner Show. One lady also did her roof in Carbon Fiber to go with the trunk and hood, and it looked hot!!

I'd highly reccmmend getting your hood done as well

Talked to a friend of mine and he said Drilling CF isnt bad just get good bits and let the drill do the work, also pre drill a smaller center hole than drill the larger bit to keep it from moving newhere.
