cf trunk leak help

cf trunk leak help

Getting a leak I think from my third brake light. Wondering what others have done to prevent this if its happened to them

You checked that the light it tight?

if so

theres a gasket around the 3rd brake light,may of gone bad,so get yourself some 1/8in thick adhesive backed foam tape and run it around the inside opening of the trunk

Black silicon on the light gasket then attach it to trunk? Or along edge of light from outside once installed on trunk?

I like to install the light then apply the silicone from the outside to seal it up

Yup waay better than my vis one and Meh they all leak from there lol my vis one leaked from the back up lights too

went out and bought some black rtv today, and took my time sealing it and cleaning up excess. did a good job ( hopefully ) lol. we'll find out tonight, supposed to rain pretty heavy.
