changing bulb size in hid

changing bulb size in hid

ok so im wanting to get some hid's for my car. I dont have porjectors yet but plan to get some in the future. the question i have is can i buy hid's now for my stock lights then when i get the projectors change the bulb and be good to go or do i have but a whole new hid kit. i tried to search this but couldnt find anything. thanks for any help in advance.

You'll either have to buy a whole new kit or new HID bulbs to fit your kit because the stock 9007 bulbs are not in any of the aftermarket projectors...they're usually either H7 or H1 I believe depending on the projectors you use...retros are usually DS2 bulbs or something like that.

You'll need to buy new bulbs. Most HID kits use the same plugs for the bulbs, so you can just order any set of bulbs and they'll plug in to the existing ballast.

ok thnaks thats what i was wondering never had hid's before wasnt sure if the bulb just plugged in somewhere and they where interchangeable. thanks for the help guys.
